It's You Poem by Srushti Dodamani

It's You

Rating: 5.0

You came in uncalled for
On my weakest days
With a desire to break
Something beautiful.

And like moth drawn to a flame
I latched onto you
Little by little, l let you consume me.

In the world I see you are just
'A phrase that will pass'
But who said it's that simple
For i know you are here to stay.

The broken mirror on the wall
No longer holds my smile but
Helplessness and hopelessness
Of a broken mind in which
I see you, not me
