Isn’t Autumn Grand? Poem by Marilyn Lott

Isn’t Autumn Grand?

Rating: 5.0

Last winter we had lots of snow
And our share of rainy days
Our world was cold and damp
But I knew it wouldn’t stay that way

I enjoyed the spring so very much
New buds of leaves and flowers
I didn’t mind at all that we had
The moisture of gentle showers

Summer came on blazing hot
Too hot at times for me
I enjoyed all the green foliage and
Bright flowers and bumblebees

But autumn is here with smells and sights
That make sure our life is not bland
There’s crunchy leaves in brilliant colors
Oh my, isn’t autumn grand?

For me there is no other season as delicious. If were up to me would be 11 months of fall with the remaining month divided between winter, spring and summer. (smile) Thanks for the Autumn poem; can never get enough of those either.

Marilyn, you may have had lots of snow, but where I live we had lots of rain and summer was a sprinkling of sunshine except in my Canadian Holiday. ow autumn is here we are basking in an Indian summer. I agree with you autumn is a beautiful time and does show us that life is not bland. Top marks and thanks for sharing it with us. Hugs David
