Is Your Niece A Color? Poem by Cherokee Akan Ewe

Is Your Niece A Color?

Nah actually that's society way
of saying
i know probably where you came from
since i killed more than half of your people including plundered their goods
and won't give them back even today
due to nonprofit moneymaking purposes
even though its your Roots and Tribe belongings
and i claim peace by religion and politics
still nah you ain't getting yours back
cause believe you are conquered and your childrenn so yes
i will remain in due ignorance and denial
that you are anything but empowering
and as a mind of fact you can call me Sir
and my ladies Ma'am or Madam
and never by my first name
although i will never recognize you...
