Is This Too Much To Ask For? Poem by Vivek Kumar

Is This Too Much To Ask For?

Red, green and shades of blue,
Few moves I got, played out, passing through.
Struck by deep shallow drunken eyes to adore,
Thought of let it go but is this too much to ask for?

Ecstasy, the way you keep looking at me,
Being first to alcohol to set my body free.
And glad that I'm not missing the golden hour.
Again, to dance with you till the morning four.
Can I have you around me? is this too much to ask for?

The closer you come, the louder the music is.
Your hands so warm yet giving me the freeze.
One two, one two, to try my best to match the feet.
You're looking up to me again, it feels complete.
Warmness on my shoulders but frost on your waist.
Fragrance of your body to chase so my heart raced.
Can I get more hours to adore? is this too much to ask for?

O God! these demonic eyes, can't get my eyes off.
Every inch of me is just craving for never to stop.
Where is everyone? I can't see anybody except you.
Feeling you so close like one of my dreams coming true.
Just 1 a.m., music stops so do our feet and time to go.
But I need more time with you just to say a 'Hello'.
Your eyes, fragrance, touch and you are never enough.
So, can I have you again in my arms but closer than before?
Is this too much to ask for? Tell me. Is this too much to ask for?
