Intelligence Is Not Wit Poem by Mohammad Muzzammil

Intelligence Is Not Wit

Intelligence is not wit,
Though often confused a bit.
Intelligence, an innate ability,
Wit, a talent, borne of agility.

Intelligence is the brain's capacity,
To learn and solve with great tenacity.
To comprehend, analyze, and deduce,
To find solutions, without excuse.

Wit is the art of quick repartee,
A clever response, in the moment's fray.
A sharp tongue, a keen mind,
Wit is a weapon, of a different kind.

Intelligence is knowledge, wisdom, and thought,
The foundation of knowledge, deeply wrought.
Wit is humor, irony, and satire,
The lightness of being, that can inspire.

Intelligence is an essential tool,
For a life of success, and learning's fuel.
Wit is a grace, a gift, and a charm,
A social skill, that can disarm.

So let us not confuse the two,
Intelligence and wit, each unique and true.
For both have their place, and their worth,
In the many facets, of life on earth.
