Missing the red and green spots on the canvas
(Inspired by the Sizzling Sunday)

I sat there patiently waiting for my cup of Arabica
while my busy mind wandered through wonderful India

drank my cup possessively and deliciously this morning

that empty space, that sweetest smile,
beguiling

the long drive to Zeddam, near my house, the quietest at night

I look at the space in the car, the seat on the right
these days constantly empty,

my mind is absolutely no more wise,

wished eagerly that angel appear in disguise

This isn't about love, it's about poignancy,
just like Peter and Wendy floating breathlessly in the air

Geez, I'm speeding too fast now that my mind is deluding,
that empty space, that sweetest smile,
beguiling

The red and green colours, when mixed together, will make
a dark brown tassel,
matching the autumn atmosphere on the canvas

missing these colours so fervently

I think we all can relate to the feelings depicted here. We all miss the colours of life at some point. A beautiful poem from your creative pen!
