He who is drowning, I bet,
will not be afraid of getting wet,
He who has his hands lost
Will not lament his fingers
frozen in frost.
He who washes his hands of life
would no more be afraid of knife.
He who has afflicted
with the loss of his wife
would despise the murmurs
of the drum and fife
Man in despair his tongue grows long
is like a vanquished cat
assailing a dog.

A thoughtful poem with extreme metaphors, excellent rhymes, the comparisons are a bit scary, but the idea is nice and I did have fun, when rereading I did have more fun
