In The Volume Of Narratives

Rating: 5.0

One day I was walking in the wind
And clouds gathered around me into a storm
In the volume of narratives, I met one stormy Joe
Who was seeking the demystifying alternative
But got treated like one crazy Doe
He became a mis-informer for daring the scientific fictional mystical

CHORUS
Don't dare challenge the shadows of power!
For even their prey will come after you
Do not challenge the village witchdoctor
For witches will have their nightly rituals in your compound
Just eat their experimental poison n' hope to leave long thereafter
Again, please don't challenge the village herbalist for he's got all the answers to your health

One day I was walking in the wind
And clouds gathered around me into a storm
In the volume of narratives, I met one stormy Joe
Who was seeking the demystifying alternative
But got treated like one crazy Doe
He became a mis-informer for daring the scientific fictional mystical

Hmm...just musing. I would have made verse two a little different than verse 1 to home in the point, then tied everything with the chorus at the end. Like in music lyrics.

This the beauty of intrigue in poetry. It allows others to think alternatively. Thank you my brother for your comment

Wonderful metaphors and images. It all boils down to fairh. If you believe you don't question, but the non believer is the harbinger of progress and new ideas. The problem with faith is always that it shuts your mind to other ideas because of straightjacketed strictures. Great lyrical poem.
