In A Flash Of Lightening Strike... Poem by Mohammad Younus

In A Flash Of Lightening Strike...

In a flash of lightning strike, ...
...my oppressor shows me,
A million brutal visions of sobbing children,
Tormented by ferocious interrogation,
The streets - filled out once with hustling...
...human bodies and rumbling cars,
Haunted by attrition and eaten by desolation,
The water in lakes and rivers simmering,
But I won't reconcile myself to subjugation
I won't become indifferent to my people's sufferings,
I'll reconcile myself only with resistance,
You need to understand me, why I struggle,
Just think about it, there's a tragic story
