If Today Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

If Today

Rating: 5.0

Today always slipped from my hand
I perused matter till end
It has become daily struggle
To think and come out trouble

It is good to face
And remain in race
For daily improvement
And live by each moment

I do not want to know
And definitely go
For uncertain dreams
With rays falling in beam

If today does not belong to me
I must go out and sit under tree
Think about real solution
With firm resolution

Instead I give some respite to mind
With uncertain peep to be kind
It shall be better to close the door
Sleep with freedom and feel no bore

It is nice to feel
With circumstances to kill
Make it as of no importance
But certainly a good chance
