I Want Your Body Not Your Heart Poem by Paula Glynn

I Want Your Body Not Your Heart

I see you across the crowded room
Noticing your gorgeous blue eyes
Noticing your lust filled good looks
Knowing I can read you like a mysterious book
Your attraction to me without a disguise.

I walk determinedly across the crowded room
Knowing I must seize an opportunity of the night
The night for us with endless possibilities
The moonlit night waiting for us to meet
As if strangers bumping into each other on the street.

We walk quickly along the crowded street
Calling urgently to catch a nighttime taxi
Knowing we shall share our first kiss
With fascinating attraction we do not dismiss
With physical contact we yearned to never miss.

When the sunny orange juice morning comes
We arise from perfect passion and temporary attraction
But the night is over and you go your way
I shall go my way into the hard working day
But together we will remember our hips that did sway.
