I See Near And Far Poem by Budhashaya Behera

I See Near And Far

Rating: 5.0

I see near and see his face,
I see far and I see his running,
My child has gone to Mathura,
To see festival of bow and arrow
Arranged by his uncle,
Akrura has taken him in chariot,
Although we requested him not to take,
Still he had to obey command of king,
Through my lens I see my Lord,
His symbols of feet on sand of Yamuna,
I see his tender face reflected,
In ripple of Yamuna River's water,
I hear sweet tune of his flute.

My Lord is my nephew,
He is very brave and kind too,
People of Mathura are fortunate,
They will see both brothers,
From chariot of hope and joy,
Lord will bless all,
My Lord will grant love to all,
There will be victory of truth,
There will be victory of virtue,
Sin will break into pieces,
Lie will be burnt into ashes,
Lord's aunt Budhashaya declares!

To get lost in the childhood of Krishna as detailed in Bhagavatam (Purana) ... this is one form of bhakti, Feelings of heart for the love of young Krishna is overflowing in this fine piece.
