I'm Free Poem by Sotirios Skoufis

I'm Free

I'm misunderstood
In my own family
I'm iron, they think I'm wood
If they knew - what I only could

Or what I carry
Actually more
then necessary
I'm misunderstood

In my own family
I'm diamond
They think I'm coal
I'm the goalkeeper

who prevents all goals
Firm and tight
I hold all balls - Humble and courageous
is my fight

And besides
I take life light
I take life easy
I'm beautiful

I'm not sleezy
Neither dizzy
I'm misunderstood
In my own family

But I don't care 🤷‍♀️
As I'm happy 😊
Life shines to me
All my future is ahead

All my love ❤️
I will spread
I have to drink
And I'm well fed

I'm healthy
and also wealthy - in and out
I'm willing
and besides

Love's always winning
So I don't give up
Keep my head and attitude
always up - I will climb

to the top
And one day
they will see me
And they will understand

That I don't need them
so I can stand
That they need me
As I'm humble

I'm free

A positive poem about a negative situation. I think I can identify with doe of your feelings. Do you live in Prague, Sotirios? I see your name comes up with Czech Republic poets, like me.
