I Lag Behind You Poem by Binayakumar Mohanty

I Lag Behind You

Rating: 5.0

Dandruff on the scalp
and wrinkles on the skin
reminds of
your dynamics.

Spines no longer
slender,
intense farming
turned the soil
sterile;
stiffness in the
elbow and knees
again
of error and omission.

I should have been
there before
the day break
having finished the tasks.

Your intimacy
is not forgotten
for I am ready here
But, you are
much ahead of me.

Here, I look
at the cataract of
my eyes
smell flatulence
from the stomach.

Years of intimacy
with you
drags me on
Though I lag behind you
You are much ahead of me.

I have to be there
with you
before the day break.

Nothing on this Earth dies Sir, nobody lags nor leads. One who appears to have lead today is somehow also lagging in some other plane. We need not bother about our geo-dynamic position of accomplishments or achievements, rather we must see how much road is left uncovered, so that there is no lethargy killing our blooming up. Happy to see you exploring truth divine through myriad fora of life. 10+++ for speaking up truth in all these poems. Regards. Subhas

Years of intimacy with you drags me on Though I lag behind you You are much ahead of me. Let us not cry over spilt milk Sir, for one who leads us is also far behind us so far as our possibilities and budding phase are concerned. Nothing on this Earth dies, nor anything is surpassed, only at times we become capable of observing a passing phase. 10+++++ for sharing the truth divine. Regards. Subhas
