I Have Stars Poem by Etienne Charilaou

I Have Stars

6-petalled, star-shaped flowers
like compact, white decals,
sprinkled at my feet.

* * * * * * *

The black dome above my head,
spotted with stars - lightgivers -
more than all
the grains of sand in all
the beaches and deserts of Earth,
itself sustained by star Sol's warm light.

* * * * * * *

Lovers see stars atwinkle in each others' eyes.
Family and friends are often stars;
as well as good, kind, helpful people.
