I Can Not But Remember Her

I become happy when night grows darker
After the day's hard toils,
Hopes and lots of disappointments
At least I will get some time
To lean on a sofa,
Watch TV and take some repose
My eyes become heavy with sleep
And a faint image floats before my eyes
I want to recall the name
From the pages of fond memory
I remember,
Once I closed all the doors
Of my rainbow world
I loosened the ropes
That tide her up
But now at this dark night
Her teenage longing disables me
How do I make others believe
That I cannot but remember her
My sleep vanishes
And I fly on the viewless wings of memory
I don't know for how long
In the morning I find myself
Sprawling like a dead body.

Some memories never leave us. In the moment of solitude images from past flash before the tired, sleepy eyes. A nostalgic mood presented beautifully. A big 10.

After the day's hard toils, you become happy when night grows darker. Night is perfect time for resting. From the pages of fond memory you present a beautiful poem. Wings of memories are view-less. Morning light brings new hope next day. An excellently penned poem is shared...10

Lovely poem. Memories of lost love are so often compensatory of the past that never returns. Thanks for sharing.
