Hurricanes to me are really poo
They cause so much damage when they come roaring through
Sometimes they come and go their way
Sometimes they linger throughout the day
Hurricanes are a natural disaster, one of a kind
They toss and blow away whatever it is they find
Hurricanes do just what they are
They hurry through near and far
There was Betsy, Camille, Sandy and Andrew
Katrina and Isaac to name a few
Our city gets prepared when it's hurricane season
We know hurricanes are angry, but don't know the reason
They lift up and tear down homes and street signs
They break trees and poles and even power lines
They bring rain and flooding and a lot of powerful wind
And after the damage is done, you start rebuilding again
What's the purpose of hurricanes, we'll never know
It's just another sign from mother nature to evacuate and go
