Healer Poem by Sandra Feldman

Healer

Rating: 2.8

Poetry,
Akin to nothing,
That ever was,
Pure feelings,
Inner healings,
That, And more,
Poetry does.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
For poet Daniel Brick, whose deep insight and feeling for this art is stunning, in so many ways.

Yes, Daniel has interesting insights in poetry and in making connections across the arts...from novels, mythology, and epics to music, the bible, and the Dark side of the Moon! :) Poetry is a unique form that challenges us to make large connections with the least amount of words and the strongest images and metaphors. I also experience healing and inspiration through reading and writing poetry. Thanks sis.

And i thought all you need is love! : -)) Beautifully penned. It has the precision of a guided missile and the insights of an encyclopedia.

Very interesting concept. There you go again, making me delve deeper and think about things I don't normally think about. Poetry is a different art from short stories and novels. Yet it is, perhaps, similar in the same way watercolor paintings are like acrylic paintings are like oil paintings. Akin? Perhaps. I will have to ponder this. Pure feelings? For me, the greatest poetry does appeal to my emotions.... other people may respond to the intellectual poems. Does poetry heal? I think many poets aim to heal or to soothe... Sandra, you served a delicious and complex dish here. I am going to be mulling this over into the late hours. Well done, Sandra, I enjoyed the read. Succinct but containing layers and layers of complexity. An important read. A defnite 10.

Computer and or site went into sludge mode. Sorry if the comment is not well written, I spent five minutes saving it before the site reloaded and lost that hurking long comment to the ether.. It was very well written as well as an important read. .
