Happy New Year!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
All agog, waiting for the mid night goHang
Softly humming an ever-green song
In a chorus, hoarsely crying HAPPY NEW YEAR
Trying to subdue many a nagging fear-
Only a child dancing or prancing with aplomb-
Is it peace or vendetta? - will THEY bomb?
Waiting for the mid night gong
Is why the partying is perfunctory tonight, dear!
