Go Seek Your Angel Poem by Adams King

Go Seek Your Angel

Rating: 5.0

You said my saliva were as venom of snakes
In the most looting lies my tongue bathed
Before you got broken my heart you break
Turning sweet love into hurting hatred

You stabbed me in your fear to be stabbed
And stole from me what you fear I will steal
You killed me many times with just a stab
And watch the heart you called steel bleed

Though I'm a man imperfect in many ways
Made of mud turned into blood and flesh
But I never ceased to love you for a day
By the rise of every sun they come afresh

You said I'm an ugly unfaithful lover
And had my crooked ways more bent
You said I'm nothing but a pretender
And many are the truth you've learnt

You painted me a devil with no shame
Said your regret the day we crossed path
You named me a dog and cursed my name
And called me a man with a stony heart
