Glory Of Summer Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

Glory Of Summer

Rating: 5.0

Oh, those glorious days of summer!
Oh, those memorable days gone by!
The words from an excited lip,
The luster of a child's eye.

A childish faith in fairy tales,
And a magician's magic ring-
The simple, confidence and trust-
Cheerful disposition in everything.

When life was strictly simple,
Uttering neither sob nor sigh,
In the vigorous and youthful glory
Of the summer days gone by.

Oh, those glorious days of summer!
Oh, those memorable days gone by!
The splashing of a rain shower,
The emerging rainbow in the sky.

When flowers flourished in beauty,
The colorful butterflies fluttering nigh
And the fullness of detail overwhelming
In the summer days gone by.
