Glad that I live in America
Where everyone can own a gun,
Glad that I live in a country
Where human life and safety is just a pun.
Glad that I live in America
Where individuality is everyone's right,
Glad that I live in a country
Where against racism and bigotry daily I fight.
Glad that I live in America
Where millionaires and billionaires roar,
Glad that I live in a country
Where I can help feed the needy at my door.
Glad that I live in America
Where freedom is still preciously sought,
Glad that I live in a country
Where politicians and presidents can be bought.
Glad that I live in America
Where is the home to the best healthcare,
Glad that I live in a country
Where bring uninsured is not rare.
Glad that I live in America
Where social security is called an entitlement,
Glad that I live in a country
Where we don't protect the environment.
Glad that I live in America
Where pharmaceutical companies are not wicked,
Glad that I live in a country
Where to drugs everyone is seemingly addicted.
Glad that I live in America
Where the middle class muscle never relaxes,
Glad that I live in a country
Where the wealthy pays the less taxes.
Glad that I live in America
Where they refuse to have healthcare for all,
Glad that I live in a country
Where money is happily spent on a wall.
Glad that I live in America
Where they scream out their Christian belief,
Glad that I live in a country
Where they judge, and from sin they seek no relief.
Glad that I live in America
Where me and family and my friends do live
Glad that I live in a country
Where I can ask God, and other countries to please forgive.
