Fragmented Reflections Poem by Susan Ash

Fragmented Reflections

Funny..
He loves another.
Was happy to have her
In his life as a friend.
A soulmate.
He so misses her now.

Funny …
I have come
To care for him.
Love having him
In my life as a friend.
In some ways a kindred spirit.
Wonder if one day
I too will be missing him?

Not the same.
But enough similarities
To be one more of Life’s
Fragmented reflections.
A chance for us both
To learn and grow?
Or another of Fate’s
Cruel practical jokes?

Only Time will tell ….

I like your approach to poetry as exemplified by this poem. There are many reasons we write and read poetry. One of these is communion.
