(*) Forever Sailing Poem by Sailing to windward

(*) Forever Sailing

For my darling brave friend Lindy, who tragically lost her husband - my shipmate Malcy, when he was killed by pirates in Thailand. We paid the ferryman with a silver coin on his coffin and he is free now to sail forever.

In the hopeful seconds of dawn
and in the dazzle of sunlight on water
I see you

In the gentlest of zephyrs
and in the most thunderous storm
I hear your voice

In the warmth of my bed
And in all that touches me
I feel you

In the smiles of our children
And in the smiles of their children too
We know you

And In my mind
I will hold fast
to your starlit hand,
And we shall sail forever

Ah, Bob, that chokes one up with triple tears. One for the beauty, one for the content, and one for the art. Adeline
