Forced Surrender Poem by Nvisible 2Luv

Forced Surrender

Rating: 5.0

Connections lost early
Can never be regained.
A heart wandering alone
Cannot be tamed.
Life-long loneliness
Does damage, be it veiled.
Search as you might
Love shall not prevail.

Youthful hope starts strong,
For the choice now belongs to you.
But slowly does it wane
As you find that isn't true.
Doors close, your heart is crushed.
A cycle ever-churning.
Always silently present
Aching, unsatisfied yearning.

So many ways it hinders your life
As you strugle to keep control.
Each day you vow to fight it
Yet it gradually devours yours soul.
As it steadily erodes your power
The fight turns to surrender.
Now its exhausted your strength
And frozen a heart once tender.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem was written during an especially dark time in my life. The frozen state of my heart mentioned has since thawed and I lived to love again. The loneliness is there, but Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father have strengthened me, yet again, to continue my path of endurance. I pray they will do the same for all of you during your darkest hours too!

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

A frozen heart will always thaw, take it out of the freezer, even if raw! Now in the pan, turn up the heat, When it is ready, again a tasty piece of meat! I imagine my perspective of The Christ is very different from yours, I just love everybody and want to see the ending of wars!
