Foolish Rhyme, A Wish Poem by Sandra Feldman

Foolish Rhyme, A Wish

I wish I were a painting,
With colors bright and sprite,
Then things would never change,
And all would be alright.

Sometimes I like to play,
A foolish grand escape,
But manage just to hide,
Behind my old black cape.

The sunrise I would be Announcing each new day But in the dark I dwell Until I fade away
