(i)
Silver
and
macaroon
rain streaks
poured
and flung
themselves
down
to floors of earth
to plant
eranthus
and sprinkled
petals
of xera plants
and white
daisies.
(ii)
How rain
splashed white
butterfly
marigold
petals stretched
out, as whips
of rain
flogged earth,
while
sky continued
to flow
and flood
its tears
on air's
ballooned cheeks,
splashed
white cocks
from heavy tree
branches,
crowing loud
in their
wetness, as winds
swept off
cackling-mouthed
dry leaves
against tree
unclothed stems
to burst
into roosts
of clucking hens
and peeping
beige cheeks
falling off
with beige
and cream chicks.
(iii)
And more
egret-winged
splashes
flew and spiraled,
as egrets
croaked
and squealed
with
the chanting,
drumming rains
on flying
wings of earth's
expanding
gardens of Eden
with silver
and gold flowers,
rainbows
arching
on stamens
to grow
moth gray
fingers
to crawl across
hedges
and silver-crowned
shrubs,
rain drops
hanging on them
like orchid
petals,
silver hydrangea
wings
and moths
flushed off too
to hang
on flowering plants.
(iv)
October,
next time
you must
splash
off crystal
bouquets
of rain,
to let mourners
know tears
of rain
carrying stroking
flowers
of hope,
crowed out
by white cocks
no different
from
white feathers
and wings
of white dahlia
after
a well-dosed
flagellation
on air's breaking
spine
rising back
to stand
with more silver
threads
of rain shot down
without
pulling sky's glassy
crystal ceiling
still pouring
down pearl beads
on a world
of sprouting
and blooming.
flowers.
