Festivals Poem by Vaishnavi Singh

Festivals

Rating: 4.5

Work, work and only work
We humans are just like clerk;
No enjoyment, no fun
Just to see the rising sun.

But when comes the festival
The value of stress goes null.
With the dancing soul we enjoy it,
Broad smile follows it.

Running legs dance a while,
Everything in one's own style
Speaking tongue also sings
All this is what that festival brings.

Gifts of Christmas, Colours of Holi,
Love of Id, Light of Diwali,
Not only this but many more,
Are the festivals that you don't know.

All of these festivals
Just for you;
Forget the work
and indulge in you.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I have made this poem owing to the festive seasons and the stress of the aristocratic society. The festivals of different religions are different but their motive is to bring relaxation and joy. With that comes love and values.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
