Fare Thee Well Poem by Ojok Isaac

Fare Thee Well

Go with love
Just hold my hand
Though this barricade
Blocks me
From getting closer to you

You died in the hospital
Alone
You sufferd...
Alone
You were comforted...
By no one
You died like you're...
The only man...
Alone
Alone
Alone

Fare thee well
All bodies consumed
By COVID 19
Fare thee well my love

But your death
Is a lesson to mankind
Your death as brought us together
Now we know mankind
Must live together in harmony

If we lock ourselves indoors
We wash our hands with soap
For 20 seconds
Let's accept to suffer today
And live like Kings tomorrow
We shall bring the virus
To their knees

Zillions are infected
Millions are affected
But our strength
Shall never dwindle

The world soon I'll be free
Only if we come together
... together
As one

And you who died
With the heart of changing
This world
Shall see your souls
Shining like stars
