Falling Up The Sky Poem by Anna Osipova

Falling Up The Sky

I'm falling backwards...Falling up the sky
But everybody think that I'm flying...
I'm passing birds and clouds... From up high,
I can't accuse those on the land of lying.
I'm falling up the sky... The land's so far,
And everyone will think that I'm a revenant...
And only falling shows us who we are,
When we get smashed against the seventh heaven.

This is so deftly written. I not only can see this unusual dance but I can feel it stretch my limbs.. I to.o am falling and I too think I'm flying. Your poem has effortless kinetic energy. It is so clear and unclutered. B-U-T all of this marvelous motion pales before the magical last two lines which raise the poem to a visionary height. What an amazing flash of self-knowledge. Your poem satisfies first my body, then my mind. Consider me one of your ideal readers.
