Everyday Medicine Poem by Nicoletta Mura

Everyday Medicine

Dissolved into water
breathed through air,
bitter medicine
of every day.

Absorbed and tasted
ignored and still present,
it scratched the reality
with long claws of illusions.

Sweet taste on the tongue,
it fed on euforia and happiness
releasing itself with a frantic spasm
over any warm skin.
