Enjoying Our Little Lives Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Enjoying Our Little Lives

Past memories playing in the snow, making snow angels,
snow cars, (this poet's idea) , having snowball fights,
building snowmen families.

All enjoying the taste of white snow, staying clear
of the yellow snow altogether, loving the way snow clung
to branches, leaves, rooftops and outdoor furniture.

Then those remarkable icicles that hang down from eaves of
houses, reaching up, snapping off one and sucking on it
like it was a popsicle.

No flavoring or color needed, pure snow water that quenched
our thirst when needed, yesterday filled with thousands of
memories when children, taking time to do what children do,
having fun and enjoying days of our little lives.
