Empathize A Reflection Poem by Elisha De La Rosa

Empathize A Reflection

Walk into a room from terror
You turn to see a mirror
Do you see yourself
Or do you see someone else

You stare at the mirror
Are you piecing yourself together
Or are you breaking yourself apart
What is left of the real you?

Pieces of a puzzle we are made of
Pieces missing you are falling apart
Only gain pieces by the path you walk on
This puzzle is not easy to finish

Pieces you place together
The path you have chosen
Will reflect off that mirror
Which puzzle you been piecin'?

Don't see someone else in that reflection
Watch it carefully, seek it through
The path you may have chosen
May not complete 'you'
