Elecantation Poem by Paul Brookes

Elecantation

come sweet sorrow burst your party balloon.
eclectic streamers of elucidation, recuerdos.
recuerdos my friends.

quasi lunacy sprouts upon fruitless loins,
lacking sovereign breast to lactate on bosom.
hinterlands despise battle scarred concrete
spray canned into oblivion tagged and tagged again.

fickle presently sensates, causation scrapes,
harsh as fingers on glass yet opaquely jealous.
shall we entangle our souls, wrap warped barbed wire
small prickles like nettle stings sing.
tasting loves lash, its excoriation belligerently voicing its merry-go-round.

around, around, around, around,
down, down, down, cascades of blood red lust,
lurid on white sheets slithering to the afterglow of cigarettes.

bleeding, bleeding, tomato puree sunsets,
splash on yolk yellow sunsets
and we, we are scattered around
and around and around before each little death.
