Earth Beckons Poem by Engin Kavrak

Earth Beckons

Earth beckons as I walk through the river
And feel the numbness in my feet
As I smell the land and it shivers my soul
My very core cannot resist

Earth beckons as my heart beats
As my vision runs down to an unknown fate
As I stay at the threshold of my dreams
The memories of pain fade

Earth beckons with the rise of the tides
As the wind rides to turn to rise
As the sun greets by the horizon
The very drops of spill are frozen

Earth beckons as I shed tears into river
As a fraction of peace shatters my mortal fear
As the clouds waves by so very near
As the wisps roam the land and through so sear

Earth beckons and my soul burns
With my yearning to the peace
With the torment of my life
Earth beckons and I cry
