Dumb People Poem by Kelvin Rush

Dumb People

Queuing all night to buy the latest trainers
Handing over money to total strangers
Working for the boss giving away your time
Boredom and dross for a nickel-and-dime

Besotted by celebrity money and fame
Being seen on tv is the name of the game
How much you're worth is all that counts
Selfies and look at me's sales and discounts

God save the queen and the endless spoils
Bowing like a slave as you grovel to the royals
Not a scrap of worth in your shallow sick head
Loving all the drama are you really that brain-dead

Singing in the bath blowing smoke in the air
Crying as you laugh not a hope or a prayer
Always cracking jokes acting like a clown
Despite the NWO taking everyone down

Daily posts on twitter to the gullible swallowers
Thinking you're important with your 500 followers
Days spent at the mall hanging out with all the sheeple
Shopping smoking dope with all the other dumb people
