Dream Demons
Dreams danced almost every night
To lead my mind to the scars of past
To slit my throat with the sword of guilt
And to drag me down to the depths of hell
Love then came with its musky honey
Seeing right through my inner agony
Waited by me widening its beaming eyes
To fight and dim my dream demons.
Yet, dreams come once in a while
With scary beaks, on the wings of smoke
