Momma dove sits on her nest to hatch her eggs with care and love,
While daddy dove flies back and forth with new twigs for the nest
to make her nest more comfortable? , or to keep the hatchlings safe?
I was not familiar with this type of poetry, so I did some research, and found that it is a Korean poetic form. And accordingly, there is that twist in the middle of the last line, that defines its form. Thank you for making me aware of its existence.
My pleasure. I have thought to try all forms, but more keep showing up.
Yes, that nest looks like it could certainly use a few more twigs! I never heard of a sijo either. Will have to look it up.
Oh hmmmm now I have to go look up a sijo to see if you are doing it right.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
Lovely poetic description of a pair of birds doing their respective duties from making of a nest to that of hatching an egg. Can teach a thing or two to all human beings. Sijo is welcome and enjoyable.
Thank you. Yes, some human haven't got a clue.
