Desire Poem by Carol Fleming Klein

Desire

Rating: 5.0

Desire is
the intensity of driven rain
on a tin roof

the relentless ticking
of a grandfather clock
toward the chiming of the hour

the pounding
of my heart
as you touch me
and your lips meet mine

the feeling
which fills me
when you have been
too long away.
