Death Of A Duck Poem by Gary Bryson

Death Of A Duck

Rating: 2.5

I just saw it happen,
in front of my eyes,
A life has now ended,
a horrible demise.
One minute lived free,
and had not a care,
The next second death,
the tragedy not spared.
Twas that scant second realized,
her dangerous plight,
When the car snatched her life,
while turning in flight.
My heart broke to see her,
with feathers askew,
And knowing there was nothing,
that anyone could do.
And in that brief moment,
she ran out of luck,
Cause that moment ended,
the life of a duck.

Interesting poem, Gary... in a broader sense, a statement on man's own mortality. Well done! Brian
