Darkness Awake Poem by Mozafar Ali

Darkness Awake

Sun Rise I Await Your Call,
Like A Inpatient Being craving your voice,
That one Word at the Start of the Day,
‘Morning’ It Sends Shivers down My Spine,
They know their way.
We Talk, We laugh, smile,
Were In love its crazy,
We go on about the names of our babies,
How we love each other and how we care,
If this isn’t love then it’s not fair.
Eventually we depart from the phone,
Tending the needs of our family,
But still in the back of our minds roams each other’s name’s,
Knowing that we can depend on each other,
A real gift of love.
Evening is upon us we talk again,
How our day went,
The highs and lows,
And occasionally the conversation of our successful goals,
Its All Love Here No pain, any tears? No! !
Night has come the darkness has eclipsed the sun,
So we cut the phone,
We go for abit and come back fresh for bed,
All talk is done; nothing is to be said for the end of the day,
We both lie down, and you repeat what I pray!
But As I look down the line and over my shoulder,
It’s true what they say, True love never prevails
So Now We're Apart We Wait for the Light to Fall Asleep,
For When We Were Linked The Darkness Was When I Put You To Rest!
