Darjeeling Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Darjeeling

Darjeeling,
I just hear the name of the town
And think of how was it,
How is it now,
How the scenery and landscape of it?

The small town, hilly town
On the fringe of
From where Nepal to go,
The Nepalis, Lepchas and Bhutias to meet
A resort historical and colder.

Darjeeling,
The door to the Northeast
To Kamrupa Kamakhya
And to the borders
Going upwards.

Darjeeling the small old hilly town
With Kanchenjunga,
Snow lacing it the peaks,
The sun rising so lovely
And what more to say?
