Cupid's Quiver Of Arrows Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Cupid's Quiver Of Arrows

Rating: 4.8

He keeps missing yr heart
Though he has had lots of practice through
The centuries
But he keeps missing yr heart
Maybe, he thinks we don't belong together
Or he has bad aim
I don't know
I just think when it comes to yr heart
He loses his nerves
And points to yr ass instead
He never keeps his promise
That he will make you love me
But I never trusted him
So, why am I so angry?
Because I am getting too old
For this crap
And I can't wait for eternity

Loved this write! Maybe it was not meant to be funny but a couple of lines had me going. I think we have all had an arrow in the at one time or another. Let's face facts, Cupid has rotten aim. I mean he's just a baby! Take the bow away!

Oh, my dear friend, I wish his aim were true and that he could find your heart!

A biting and caustic take on one of the most over rated days of the year! I cant say I ever cared for cupid perhaps he's just poor marksman

Cupid is old and short sighted, his bow arm is weak

And his arrows bent and blunt.

This is a wonderful poem. Many things have been told about this Cupid's arrow but your poem is something different. My pleasure revisiting this excellent poem.
