Country View Of The Closing Day Poem by Patricia Gale

Country View Of The Closing Day

Rating: 5.0

Feather strewn shades of pinks and yellow
Against blue shades of eloquence
White billowing clouds splashed into form
A beautiful canvas for the eye

Sweet nature singing a lullaby
To kiss the world good night
As the radiant ball of yellow
Dissolves slowly into the mountain side

A gentle breeze caresses the being
The heat of the day fading with the sun
Peaceful thoughts begin to shine
As the moon brings forth her grander

Baby blue turns to midnight cast
The stars begin a cabaret
Sending out silent codes with each twinkle
Goodnight sweet earth

The crickets take the stage
Joining merrily with the tree frogs
Completing a symphonic treasure
To a sleeping ovation to the ending of the day
