Corona Poem by Bill Wright

Corona

We didn't want Corona
But it's here to haunt us
It's come to taunt us
We didn't want Corona
But you just can't hide it
We've got to fight it

Pubs shut, restaurants too
BoJo tells us what to do
Stop work, don't go
Travel is a no no
If you're old stay inside
We can take this in our stride

Football stopped, rugby too
What will armchair pundits do
Pasta famine, bread scarce
Loo rolls gone without a trace
Please give us, a ray of hope
Some wee thing to help us cope

Blitz spirit, that's the way
To get us through another day
Keep your distance, stay safe
Be careful in a public place
This fight, will be won
Just keep calm, and carry on
