One of 3 short poems on the Total Solar Eclipse of 2017, the first such eclipse in 99 years!
Who took a bite out
Of the giant, luminescent cookie?
A space giant, obviously!
Or perhaps a Cookie Monster?

When the moon just begins to obstruct the view of the sun, it really DOES look like a giant glowing cookie with a bite missing. Go to NASA's website to view images. Thank you, Becca, for appreciating my little Eclipse series!

I would like to translate this poem
as our first President (of USA) was reported to say as a boy after chopping down a cherry tree: I can not tell a lie. (he did chop the tree i guess) but i wasn't there, so i can't say for sure. : ( so: I can not tell a lie! i, Bri, took the bite, and.......WOW! ! ! ..........it was some hot cookie! ! ! bri :)
It was hot, all right! Goes to show what you get for biting the sun! : p Thanks, Bri, for commenting, and for your unique sense of humour!
