Christmas Again Poem by Katherine Perry

Christmas Again

Rating: 4.5

Love wrapped in pretty bows
Smiles surrounding all hearts
A chill in the air felt from head to toe
Gifts overflowing in shopping carts

Words needing not to be said
For joy can be felt miles away
Kids excited to go to bed
And can't wait to wake up on Christmas
day

But we must tell the story to all
Of the miracle birth on Christmas eve
Away in a manger under that north star
An example of love for all to see

Some of us find it hard to believe
That Christ was born to save our souls
Thoughts without faith seems hard to
concieve
But his love is the same for the young
and the old

Advertisments selling this and that
Songs that fill the air with joy
Good deeds given with the drop of a hat
Dreams coming true for all the girls and
boys

What are gifts without love
And what is love without gifts
And in the tree there are the two turtle
doves
Following the traditional kindness as
spirits lift

So let this Christmas remind us
That all the days in between
Should be treated with the up most
kindness
And give thanks to the King of all Kings!
