Chopping To Cook Poem by Indira Renganathan

Chopping To Cook

Rating: 4.8

As thoughts are chopping
My mind
Knife is cutting
My finger

As my finger is
Crying red
My mind is treating
My red thoughts

'No celestial being
Will descend
To cook for you'
My heart says

Fungal mind
Shrinking esophagus
Stomach is deprived
Of its hourly wages

This is so sad, if you cut your finger and it cries with blood during chopping. You should be very careful with magnetic mind. Attentiveness will help you in avoiding you such trouble. We hope, celestial being will help you to recover soon from cut. This poem is very brilliantly penned...5 stars..

''No celestial being Will descend To cook for you' - these lines are saddening to me, as these remind me of the hard work my mom did to keep us fed. No celestial being helped her either! Thank you, dear poet, for your thoughtful and thought provoking poem.

It is a great write, well crafted poem - - While mind is busy in thoughts, hands busy in cooking - -The distraction cuts the finger- -The hurt has to be healed by Self as there is no one else to help.To my poem list.

Excellent, no two thoughts while cooking specially while cutting vegetables, I see humour, philosophy and witty/wise decorative words.10**********
