Canvas Of The Heart: A Symphony Of Letting Go Poem by Mervyn Graham

Canvas Of The Heart: A Symphony Of Letting Go

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes, the hardest canvas to paint upon is our own heart. We cling to memories, emotions, and moments, afraid to release them into the vast expanse of time. But there lies an art in letting go, a delicate dance between acceptance and surrender.

Upon the canvas of the heart we paint,
A masterpiece of joy, of love, of pain.
Sometimes it seems the hardest task we face,
To let the colors flow, to find their place.

With brushstrokes bold, we embrace acceptance,
Gently bidding farewell, bidding good riddance.
For not all chapters are meant to endure,
Yet in their endings, new beginnings procure.

Surrender, too, becomes our guiding light,
Releasing burdens, setting our souls alight.
Like autumn leaves that gracefully descend,
We shed the weight, and find our spirits mend.

In empty spaces, beauty starts to bloom,
Neglected corners now dispel the gloom.
For in the absence, clarity is found,
And in release, new treasures can abound.

Time's palette fades, its colors soft and kind,
Yet memories endure, in heart and mind.
They blend and blur, a tapestry of old,
But in their whispers, stories still are told.

Forgiveness, then, becomes our final stroke,
A healing balm for hearts that once were broke.
For in forgiving others, we find peace,
And in forgiving self, our souls release.

So let us paint with courage, bold and true,
With every hue, with every shade we knew.
For in the art of letting go, we find,
A canvas cleansed, a soul no longer confined.
