Burden Poem by Darlan M Cunha

Burden

*

As strong as the walls are the others
burden - frustration is what sustains us in our day to day.*

On the bridge still under construction, he said
that the best thing to do is not to give franchise
to the dead, and also don't offer yourself so much
to the living, not by antonomasia.

To isolate oneself from these irreconcilable, these antipodes.
But what does this mean if not to perpetuate
steps that have been in force for so long?

The miniature on the table reminds me of something
but without revealing anything of the saxophonist, other than
who wears a hat, not that maybe he's living in bigger sunshine
the love that gnaws at tigers.*
